With Alien Guitars 1 many thought Sisko and Libertino
had taken the post-modern guitar to its logical end. Ironically, it was
only the beginning... Alien Guitars 2 picks up right where Volume 1
stops. The goal? To utilize every gadget and technique available to
mutilate any recognizable sound of a guitar. Conjured from the guitar
by way of hardware, software and demented wetware you will visit:
"Paturn"- loops & linear melodic patterns, "Dark Matter"- sinister
soundscapes and supernatural environments, "Aquatica"- the sounds of
liquid guitars, "The Temple of Sonos"- spiritual sounds and healing
tones, "Luceslantra"- glistening textures and harmonics of light, the
"Rainforest"- exotic birds, insects and animals of the sonic jungle and
"Passport Kontrol"- sounds of exotic locales within the imaginary
universe... you get the idea.
Paturn: Loops and Linear Melodic Patterns Early explorers of Paturn
couldn't believe their eyes (all six of 'em). A graphologist's dream,
Paturn's otherwise desolate landscape is covered by complex,
interlocking design patterns. Loops, circles within cycles, recursive
cursives, stuttroglyphics and retrograde inversions. A veritable Rosetta
Stone of abstract tabular tablature of linear and crypto-scalar
fragments, sketchings, and mirror-written etchings. Tide rules and slide
pools. Text becomes (Text)ure.
Eden 2.0: The Sounds of Hopeful Machinery Robotics,
A.I., and genetic manipulation eventually reached their ultimate
conclusion: the introduction of new forms of hybrid life (human,
post-human and distinctly non-human.) Eden 2.0, an insta-world, was
created to solve the evolutionary issue of human-to-New Life
integration. Here you will hear transgenic guitar splices, hybrid
tonalities, skanky robotic funk, nano-Metal, bio bass, and hyper
prismatic riffing as mechanical animals and their abstract owners
attempt to make sense of their RealEmotions© with guitars!
FRAG: Sounds of Adrenaline, Industry and Aggression Originally
an orbiting prison colony, FRAG was abandoned when the Commission could
no longer find anyone crazy enough to police the dread dodecahedron.
This rogue element is filled with the harshest Post-Descent Rock guitar
sounds ever. Tones were hacked, granulated, dismembered and vivisected.
Guitars buckled, groaned, snapped and gave way. Rude distortions and
Nasty contortions. Toxic Black Cold Dread Metal peelings that'll make
you crap your pantaloons. Not a registered Tourist Location.
The Junk Belt: Sounds of Broken, Disjointed and Discarded Junk Once
brilliant machines, now caked with rust and sediment make up this
stream of anti-grav flotsam and jetsam. Come here to salvage or scavenge
the Lo-Tek, Crumbient castoffs. Worship the Glitch, Arrhythmia, and
planned obsolescence. Pick up short-outs, bins of cast off robophones,
lurker units, Pleadean stomp boxes, damaged necks, pitch-scarred funk.
If it's broken and off-kilter you'll find it here. It might be just the
part you?
