The BDMO was recorded "dry", optimized for use with IR technologies. Three kinds of IRs are used in the BDMO: Timbral, Reverb and Sustain. Timbral Impulses are "sonic fingerprints" painstakingly captured from over 250 pianos and recordings. With the push of a button, you can transform the BDMO's sound into one of over 250 completely different pianos. Choose from 7 Timbral Impulse groups: Classical, Custom, Jazz, Pop, R+B, Vocal or Pianos. Reverb Impulses (custom created for the BDMO) give you a huge selection of complex, dense true ambiences captured from studios, rooms, recital halls, concert halls and symphony halls. Sustain Impulses enhance the sound field of the BDMO, giving it a "3 dimensional" quality. Plus, sustain samples have "air" and depth in a spacious stereo field. Every sustain sample is unique, not modeled or generated.

Six Levels of high accuracy performance dynamics ranging from full 100% acoustic to 45% compressed coupled with proprietary linear dB scaling accurately recreates the true dynamics of the piano, ensuring amazing sound quality on playback.Bluthner Digital Model One contains over 2000 unique stereo samples in 12 velocity switched layers - with descrete pedal up and pedal down samples. Hand selected microphones, cables, preamps, and Pacific Microsonics A/D contribute to the highest detail sample recordings.
